Precautions for the use of carbon brushes

1. If the lead wire of the carbon brush is covered with an insulating tube, it should be installed in the insulating carbon brush holder; if the lead wire is a bare copper wire, it should be installed in the ground carbon brush holder.
2. When installing the carbon brush on the carbon brush holder, pay attention to the direction of the curved surface. If the carbon brush is installed backwards, the contact surface will be too small, and the power generation will be weak or not generated.
3. The carbon brush should be able to rise and fall freely in the carbon brush holder. If the card is issued, the excess part should be removed.
4. The carbon brush spring should be pressed in the middle of the carbon brush to prevent uneven wear.

5. The contact area between the carbon brush and the commutator should not be less than 3/4 of the total contact surface, and the carbon brush should not have oil stains.
